The An Post Rás is an annual, eight-day, stage race around Ireland. The race is Ireland’s number one cycling event. The epic race began in 1953 and has been held every year since. It is one of Ireland’s top sporting events bringing world class sporting action to towns and villages nationwide
Having last ridden the Rás back in 2012 aged 36 years, Donegal man Sean McFadden knew time was running out to return to try and tame the beast again.
Now aged 41 years McFadden took to the start line last Sunday week in Dublin Castle and 8 days later completed the gruelling event at Skerries on Sunday a Man of the Rás.
We were delighted to welcome Sean into our class to tell us all about his experiences and to give us a glimpse of his medal. Have a look at our video below to see how it went.
Congratulations Sean on your amazing achievement from all in 6th Class.
