I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying your time off school.
My four year old daughter was telling me yesterday about all of the reasons that she’s missing school – friends, playtime, learning, teachers, etc. It’s difficult for her to understand why she can’t just pack her bag in the morning and head off to school as she normally does.
I decided to challenge her to instead tell me about the good things she’s experienced since she has been. Here’s a few things she mentioned – watching a bit more tv, teddy bears tea party, playing outside, baking, painting the fence (paint bucket full of water) with Daddy, etc.
In setting this challenge I started to think about the same for myself and here’s what I came up with – quality family time, seeing people looking after each other much more, lie ins, cycling, taking time to phone friends, enjoying the countryside, watching a few films, water and air pollution decreasing, etc.
Now I set the same challenge for you. Think of three things that are really positive and worthwhile that you’ve experienced over the last week and a half.
