Happy Friday Senior Infants- 27th March 2020

Happy Friday Senior Infants,

I can’t believe it has been two weeks since we have seen each other!! We miss you very much and can’t wait until we are back to our normal routine in the classroom. We have lots of catching up to do and we can’t wait to spend time together again!

We have also missed some big birthdays in Ciara’s class since we have been off school. Emma Rose and Saanvi have turned 6 in the last week and Ravi is 7 today! Happy Birthday to you all. We hope you all have managed to celebrate your birthdays with family at home.

If you need a break from using our Figure it out workbooks, why not have some fun with card games! Card games are a fun & cheap way to improve children’s maths skills.

Read the article below on how exactly card games can benefit your child.

Here are links to some useful card games to play with your child.

We understand that this is a difficult and confusing time for the boys and girls in Senior Infants. We feel the same ourselves. We would like to share a story with you which you may find helpful if talking to your child about how things are progressing at the moment. A nurse called Molly Watts hopes her book, featuring nurse Dotty the owl and Dave the dog, helps parents talk to their children about coronavirus. We know that the children may have many questions and it’s not always easy to reassure them. I hope it is useful for you!

Hope you have a great weekend! Chat soon!
