Senior Infants – September 2016

The children have settled very well into Senior Infants. Everyone is working hard and following the High 5 Rules. Just a little note to let you know that P.E. day takes place each Monday. The routine of homework has also begun so please ensure that the children come to school with their homework folder and reading book every day.

We are looking forward to sharing our learning regularly so don’t forget to check the page to share in our fun! đŸ™‚

2D Shapes

The children have been working on 2D shapes. We have been learning the different names and facts about each of them.

Roald Dahl Day

Did you know that it was Roald Dahl Day on the 13th September. Not only would it have been his birthday but it was 100 years from the day he was born! We learned that he was an author of some very interesting children’s book and through his work his memory continues. We created our very own Fantastic Mr Fox. We used the skills of drawing, outlining and painting! We think you’ll agree that they turned out very well!

Ourselves

We have been learning and sharing lots of information about ourselves. We had a nice time talking about our families and the great things we do together. We understand that everyone is different and we are all special in our own ways. Louise let us take turns on the ipad taking pictures with our friends, we created selfie pictures and then created self portraits. Click on the link to share in the great time we had!
