3D Shapes
We have been learning all about 3D Shapes this week. We can recognise a cube, cuboid, sphere and cylinder. We looked for these shapes in our classroom and out in the yard. We tested the different shapes to see if they could roll/not roll and if we could stack them or not.
Colour Mixing
We performed some magic in our class today as we used three colours; red, blue and yellow to make three new colours orange, purple and green! We had great fun.
Seachtain na Gaeilge
Seo Seachtain na Gaeilge agus tá a lán spórt agus spraoi in ár rang! This is Seachtain na Gaeilge and there are lots of fun things going on in our class!

Student Council
We have been learning about the Student Council in class. Two members of the student council from 6th class came our class and talked about the Student Council, how to get on it and what you do on it. It was really interesting! Thank you Tadgh and Michael.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar
We enjoyed reading the story of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’. We made beautiful symmetrical butterflies in art and have begun learning about the lifecycle of a butterfly.

Hairdressers in Aistear
We have had a great month working on the theme of the hairdressers for aistear. It was a very busy salon with very skilled employees!
Fairytales
We have now finished learning about narrative stories. We read lots of fairy tales when learning about narratives. We discussed their titles, beginnings and endings. We also drew the setting of some of the fairy tales and the characters in them. We really enjoyed creating lots of art on each story too!
