We had a wonderful visit from Martin Maloney and his birds yesterday morning. Martin brought Leo, the long eared owl, Barney, the barn owl and his buzzard Rambo in to say hello and it was wonderful to see these magnificent birds in our classroom. Barney went for a fly around the classroom and seemed to like landing on the very top of our bookshelves.
Martin lives in Inishowen and he is so knowledgeable about birds, he taught us many new facts about owls and buzzards. The birds were really tame and we all got a chance to hold them. Maggie didn’t want to give Barney back!
