Junior Infants – Nakita’s Class – January in Review

January in Review

Welcome back to a New Term and a New Year!

We have had so much fun already this year and January has been action packed with lots of learning and play. Have a look at our video to see all the exciting activities we have been doing.

We wrapped up warm and cosy and spent an exciting time in the snow. It was cold but we loved it.

For family Friday we painted our t-shirts. We created lots of different designs and we were very happy with the results. I think there may be some budding fashion designers amongst us!

For English we are working on procedural writing.  Recipes and science experiments are common examples of procedural texts.

We learned about the steps to take to make all sorts of interesting things. We made sand and enjoyed playing with it. We made delicious jam sandwiches with our 5th class buddies. They were yummy.

Finally, 6th class helped us to make play-doh. It was a little messy at first but we figured it out. We used flour, salt and water and followed the steps to make it. We got to take our play-doh home and colour it using our favourite coloured paint.

Check back soon to hear about more fun in Nakita’s Class. We can’t wait to tell you!
