First class have been discussing Children’s rights.
We spent some time talking about our rights. We came up with a great selection of what we feel some of our rights are including the right to freedom, food, drink, play, sleep, pet animals, stay clean, draw, be safe, work hard, brush your teeth, blink, family, to be treated how we would treat others and to be yourself. We soon ran out of space! We also enjoyed sharing a book which told us a little more about The UN Convention on the rights of the child. We also talked about how children’s rights have changed over time and can vary in different countries. Lots of ‘food for thought!’
